The lockdown in the country due to Coronavirus has been extended till May 3. During the lockdown, farmers are facing a lot of trouble in selling crops and vegetables. Keeping in view of this problem of farmers, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Narendra Singh Tomar on Friday launched the ‘Kisan Rath’ mobile app with an aim to ease the transport of agricultural products. Farmers and traders can easily buy and sell crops through the ‘Kisan Rath’ app. Let us show you how to use this app.
The first task is that if you have an Android smartphone, download this Kisan Rath app from Google Play Store. After downloading the app, you will have to register for PM Kisan with information like name, mobile number, and Aadhaar number.
If you are a merchant, so you will have to register with the company name, your name, and mobile number. After registering, you will be able to login to the app with a mobile number and a password. Kisan Rath is available in English, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu languages.

The government has launched ‘Kisan Rath’ app for sale and purchase of vegetables and crops in the event of lockdown so that farmers can easily sell their goods and traders can buy. According to the information given on the play-store, Kisan Rath will help farmers and traders across the country to take agricultural produce to the market.
Through this app, farmers and traders will get information about transport vehicles (trucks or other carrying vehicles). The app will also have information about the time and place of arrival of the truck, after which farmers will be able to sell fruits, vegetables, and grains at a fixed time and place. Through this app, transporters can also get their vehicle registered for transportation of goods.
