J&K ‘Most Wanted’ Terrorist Riyaz Naikoo Was Killed In An Encounter:-

The top commander of terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen Riyaz Naikoo was killed by security forces in Kashmir on Wednesday. Naikoo was killed during an encounter in Begpora, Naikoo’s village in Pulwama. Security forces received an input of the presence of Naiku and some of his associates in this village. The house was sieged on Tuesday where the news about Naikoo’s hiding was reported.

Initially, after the siege, there was no firing, but even after that, the security forces did not lift up the siege. Later, when the encounter started, the security forces blew up the house with 40 kg IED from where Naikoo was firing. Naikoo and his partner Adil were killed in this. After this encounter, the mobile internet has been stopped as a precaution in the whole of Kashmir. Except BSNL, all other phone networks have also been closed.

There Was A Reward Of 12 Lakh Rupees On Naikoo:-

Riyaz Naikoo was the most active terrorist in Kashmir. Naikoo began appearing on the radar of security agencies after the death of poster boy Burhan Wani in 2016. He had a reward of 12 lakh rupees on his head. He was listed in the A ++ category of Most Wanted Terrorists.

Riyaz Became Commander After Burhan Wani And Itto Were Killed:-

Yasin Ittu alias Mahmud Ghaznavi became the Hizbul commander in 2016 after Burhan Wani’s encounter. In August 2017, Itu was killed by security forces in Shopian in an 18-hour encounter. Riyaz then became a Hizbul commander. Naiku Mohammed bin Qasim was working with the code name. He was close to Burhan Wani. In 2017, he was included in the list of 12 top terrorists in the valley. Naiku was also among the 17 terrorists included in the army’s hit list in 2018.

Naiku Escaped Several Times During The Encounter:-

Many times Naiku was seen waving guns and giving a gun salute to the terrorists. She also posted long audio and video messages on social media. This was not the first time Naiku was besieged by the army. Earlier, he had escaped from a siege in the middle of the encounter several times. Between 2018-19, he escaped from the encounter several times.
